Joules
Tom Joule Established The Brand Back In 1989 When He Was Selling Clothing On A Stand At A Country Show In Leicestershire. Seeing That His Customers Like Practical And Functional Clothing But Lacking The Edge Of The Colourful Styles Seen In Towns, There Was A Need For Something Which Brought The Balance Of Style And Practicality Together. They Set About Reinventing Traditional British Clothing, Adding Elements Of Surprise Such As Purposefully Mismatched Buttons, Colour Hiding Beneath A Collar Or A Printed Lining. In 2001, The Outbreak Of Foot And Mouth Disease Forced The Rural Shows To Be Cancelled Which Left Tom With Nowhere To Sell His Clothes. Compelled To Adapt, Tom Began To Sell To Shops, Growing His Brand To The One That We Know And Love Today.
The Stylish Prints Are Hand Drawn And Hand Painted In House, Inspired By Nature From Flora And Fauna Found Across Britain Creating A Timeless Style With A Contemporary Twist. The Designs Used In The Clothing Have Since Been Transferred To The Likes Of Stationery, Homeware, And Accessories.
